Description

How can you use your graduate degree to do what you love and make it your job?

Our Designing your Life event will put you in touch with 12 alumni with interesting, non-linear careers that started in their graduate programs and took them in seemingly unexpected directions.

Attend this event to learn about the career possibilities that you may never have considered and be inspired to learn about possibilities that might be a good fit for you. You might be surprised to learn how one's "career" might look very different than what you thought while in grad school.

The event will consist of a plenary session where you'll be introduced to the panelists, followed by three roundtable sessions where you'll have the opportunity to discuss face-to-face with three of the panelists. The session wraps up with a networking session where attendees can mix and mingle with all of the panelists.

Early birds will have the option to choose their top three choices that they would like to sit with during the roundtable sessions. While we will try our best, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed with all of your top picks.

For more info on our panelists, please visit our website: www.sfu.ca/dean-gradstudies/events/designingyourlife.
